What are Outings?

 

 

Toronto Dance Salsa holds salsa dances every two weeks called Outings. These are nights out on the town at a variety of Toronto Salsa Clubs such as Acrobat Lounge, Plaza Flamingo, Peridot Resto Lounge, El Rancho, Lula Lounge, and Babaluu. These Outings are open to everyone over the age of 19, regardless of your salsa experience. Outings always have a Beginner and an Intermediate lesson at the beginning of the evening before the social dancing portion of the evening. You are welcome to come on your own or bring a partner. Cover is usually $10 and is paid to the club at the door.

Special Outing: TDS Annual "Be My Salsatine" Valentine's Day Party at Acrobat Lounge

You and your friends are invited to our annual "Be My Salsatine" Valentine's Day Party at Acrobat Lounge on Saturday, February 11th, 2012 at 8:45pm.

Performances and Shenanigans!
We will have performances by the TDS Salsa Threesome Class and United Salseros at 11pm and a fun Valentine's Day game throughout the evening.

 

Cover: 
$10. Cover includes your lesson and admission. We will be teaching there from 9:00pm-10:00pm. There will be 2 lessons - a beginner lesson and an intermediate lesson. Must be 19+ years old with proper ID.  Don't worry if you or your friends do not know how to dance as the absolute beginner class will go over the basic salsa steps. Feel free to bring as many people as you like. 

 

Competition Dates Confirmed!
Yes yes yes!  You've been asking and asking and we finally have confirmed the dates for our 6th annual TDS Amateur Salsa Competition.  The preliminary round will take place Thursday April 19th and the final round will take place Thursday May 31st at Six Degrees Nightclub.  If you are interested in competition check out the rules here:  http://www.torontodancesalsa.ca/toronto-salsa-competition.php and email us your interest at info@torontodancesalsa.ca.

 

New TDS Events Group on Facebook:
Facebook is archiving old groups so we lost our huge 2500 person facebook group where we send invitations to our events. So we have started a new group called Toronto Dance Salsa Events strictly for sending out invitations to our events. Can you help us build the group back up by joining the group and asking all your TDS friends to do the same? Sunday Empress Salsa Socials:
Come out and practice your moves in a friendly, comfortable environment! Every Sunday from 6:00 - 9:00pm at Empress. Cover is $7 with water. Next Socials Feb 5th, 12th and 26th. No social Family Day Weekend Feb 19th.

 

Wednesday Bachata Socials at Empress:
For all you Bachata Lovers, TDS will now be holding a Bachata social every Wednesday from 10pm - 12midnight at Empress beginning Jan 11th with only Bachata and Salsa music.  Cover is only $5 and free for helpers.   Next socials Feb 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd.
