Between our first Cha Cha Cha workshop and upcoming the next one, it would be wonderful to have some songs what we can practice on. During the first workshop we were playing very catchy tune:

1) Esperanza - Salsa Celtica
iTunes URL: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?i=279879051&id=279879038&s=143455

With big help from SalsaConvert I found some other good songs for Cha Cha Cha practice:

Try "Clocks" by Coldplay - the Buena Vista Social Club mix - they dropped a percussion track under Coldplay's piano and vocals... It's a stunner...

And for homegrown Toronto... Cache's "Satelite" .... recorded live at the fabled Berlin... Satelite personifies clubstyle cha cha.... enjoy! And yes, that is how it is spelled.

I use both in my salsa classes when introducing Cha Cha... Do the ears ever perk up when they hear Clocks..... They love 'em!

Quite interesting subject is raised by Mark in "English Salsa Songs" in this sub-forum.

I am not sure whether he means just 'English' (as in English language) songs, or specifically, remakes of well-known English-language songs, but I found a surprising abundance of the Cha Cha Cha songs of the first variety on YouTube.

Here is some sampling of 'oldies but goodies'::

Who could have imagined a disco cha cha cha!

And here is an old, dare I say 'classic' in this particular context, instrumental Cha Cha Cha piece:

Anyone has a download link? Would be mucho appreciated.
