I did not realize that there was a list of songs for Sunday Socials until last Sunday. I find it very useful - because I could not find songs based on one word that I could recognize.

I liked the Cha Cha song "Esperanza" and even I could spell (amazingly enough for a person who does not speak Spanish) - when I tried to look it up on youtube - it gave me a completely different Cha Cha song - also called "Esperanza".

There was a salsa song "Te amo" - maybe it is not even the right name - but it is like looking for a needle in haystack - too many songs will have "te amo" either in their title or in the lyrics. So, I still wonder...

Coming back to "Esperanza" - there is another version by Javi Cantero - it is more of a Flamenco Style Cha Cha - very nice - but I don't know how easy it is to dance Cha Cha to it.

And there is a lovely Cha Cha Song by Daniela Romo "Todo Todo Todo"

And the more I think about choices (music is like food, so much depends on the taste)

My son was taking Cha Cha class and they performed to "Let's get loud" Jennifer Lopez.

Random thoughts - but I do tend to like more upbeat songs!!!

Hey Kim,

I'm glad you like the song list! I started doing it because students wanted to know names of songs so this made it easy to discover new music and start building your own playlist.

The Cha Cha you're talking about (Esperanza) is by Salsa Celtica. The Te Amo song is by Maelo Ruiz.

Good luck and if you have any questions just let me know!
