Hi Salsaman!

Los Van Van are a Cuban band and, from what I have heard, those who dance Casino love their music so there may be a lots of Cuban dancers and Casino dancers at the concert which should be fun.

See you there!

Dear Salsa addicts,

In case if you forgot about it, or just lost track of time, there is a reminder of the event that will be taking place this saturday.

Juan Formell y Los Van Van, one of the most famous bands in the history of Cuban music, will headline the ultimate dance concert of the holiday season at the Kool Haus.

Joined by the best local Latin musicians Cafe Cubano and guests, DJ Carlitos and Dance group Sangre Latina, two-time Latin Grammy award winners Los Van Van will be the climax to an extravagant evening of Cuban music and dance.

Referred to as el tren de la salsa (the Salsa Train) for their non stop high energy shows, Los Van Van is an 18 piece Latin Orchestra featuring trombones, violins , flute, four of Cuba's best lead singers and a huge rhythm section to propel their Afro-Cuban beats.

Lugar: Kool Haus in the Guvernment, 132 Queens Quay East, Toronto ON.
Fecha: Saturday December 9th, 2006.
Doors Open: 8:00 p.m.
Valor: $40.00 in advance, $50.00 at the door.
INFO - (416)836-2600
WEBSITE www.vanvanintoronto.com
Opening Acts Cafe Cubano and Sangre Latina Dance Company Music by Dj Carlitos.

Please note that there is going to be a line-up to get in, so dress warm if it is cold outside. There is a coat check there and it's about $5 or so.
Last time I went there, lots of people came there dressed up but many wear casual.

The floor is made of concrete or something like that, it gets really dirty and sticky later during the night, it would be very difficult to do the spins there. I would suggest wearing something comfortable yet not pity to spoil. Remember, there are not too many places to sit down and rest.

Come prepared and you will have one of the most memorable nights of the year!

See you there!!!
