Dear TDS Friends!

The time is finally here - the 6th Annual Toronto Dance Salsa Amateur Competition Preliminary Round is taking place at Six Degrees Nightclub at Yonge & Eglinton on Thursday, April 19th. Please arrive at 7:45pm to avoid line ups. You are welcome to bring friends and family who don't know how to dance as this is a great night to get them involved doing a beginner lesson and watching the competition and performances.

Location:
Six Degrees is located at 2335 Yonge Street just north of Eglinton Avenue on the east side of Yonge. The club is 2 minutes walk from the Eglinton Subway station. There is plenty of metered street parking as well as parking lots available in the area.

Cover and Lessons:
Cover is $15. There will be 3 separate lessons from 8pm - 9pm for absolute beginners, beginner/intermediate and intermediate/advanced students.

The evening will be as follows:
8:00 - 9:00pm - Lessons
9:00 - 10:00pm - Social Dancing with DJ Efren
10:00 - 11:00pm - Competition and performances by Steps Dance Company, Toronto Dance Salsa, Latin Groove Productions, Elton and Maureen and more.
11:00 onwards - Social Dancing with DJ Efren and the announcement of the finalists of the competition

Finals Date & Social Info:
Please keep Thursday May 31st at 7:45pm open for the finals of the Competition.

Come out and practice your moves in a friendly, comfortable environment! Every Sunday from 6:00 - 9:00pm at Empress. Cover is $7 with water. Next Socials Apr 1st, 15th, 22nd, 29th. No social Easter Sunday.

Wednesday Bachata Socials at Empress:
For all you Bachata Lovers, TDS will now be holding a Bachata social every Wednesday from 10pm - 12midnight at Empress beginning Jan 11th with only Bachata and Salsa music. Cover is only $5 and free for helpers. Next socials Mar 28th, Apr 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th.
