| Can anyone recommend a good place to go dancing on Sunday nights. I know Sundays at El Rancho back in the day used to be good, but I don't know about now. What about Babaluu? Any other places? |

I don't usually go dancing on Sundays, just because getting up on Mondays is tough enough on its own. BUT, I have gone dancing at El Rancho on Sundays and the crowd was fairly good. I've also tried Babaluu on Sundays and it was PACKED.
One place that I don't think alot of people know about is "Casa de la Musica" - House of Cuban Music @ Gladstone Hotel. It is located inside Gladstone Hotel at Queen and Gladstone (1 block east of Dufferin). They've got a live band there and a medium size dance floor, alot of Columbian and Cuban dancers there, which is alot of fun! It is connected to a bar/resturant, and they also have a bar/lounge/pool table area in a room just down the hall.
I understand they have the lesson/band/dancing every other weekend in the summer, but I haven't been there since the summer so please don't quote me if things have changed since. It's definately a place worth checking out if you're into live salsa music!
Here are a few articles featuring Casa de la Musica:
