I don't know anything up in that area, but you can order Blochs and Capezio's from the comfort of your own computer no matter where you are!

You get 10% off for telling them you are a Toronto Dance student.

However, you can get a much larger discount if you plan on buying multiple pairs. I have once (a long long time ago) purchased 2 pairs of shoes from Toronto Dancewear and got 30% off both.

I have been looking at this forum for the past 2 days and all the shoe shopping advice was invaluable. I'm going into level 4 next week and I wanted to make sure I had proper shoes. Well I took the plunge and I bought myself some proper 2 1/2" heels(closed toed) ballroom shoes and a pair of Bloch jazz shoes. They are both great and I can already feel the difference.
I bought them at Toronto Dancewear today and the people were really friendly. The 10% discount also helped. After I complete all the levels, my plan is to get a pair of 4" inch heels that I saw in gold. I don't think I'm ready for that yet!!

Thank you all for the advice. It certainly made shopping for these type of shoes less intimidating.

Hey guys. If anyone is brave enough to shop for dance shoes online, you can go to http://www.dance4less.com/ where there's a huge selection available. I bought my first pair of dance shoes from them, and they're pretty good! Prices are reasonably priced in USD.

I'd also recommend www.exoticsalsashoes.com Huge variety and you can customize any shoes you like to the heel height you require!
My salsa friends from US recommend this and I've bought myself a pair and they've been great so far!

The internet is a great place for buying shoes. There price of shoes is lower online, a pair of shoes will be more expensive in a shop than the same pair would be online.
