ANNOUNCEMENT – TDS DANCE TEAM!!! Are you an Intermediate to advanced level salsa and/or bachata dancer looking to further develop your dancing by training on a performance team? Toronto Dance Salsa is proud to announce OPEN AUDITIONS for its Amateur Team! We are looking for enthusiastic and committed dancers with the potential to become great performers. Open Auditions will be held at TDS’ studios at Empress Walk on Saturday, September 8 from 1-3pm. Attending with a partner is recommended, but not required. If you’re interested, please email TRACIE at tracie@torontodancesalsa.ca for more details and information. Details to Note: If you’re considering auditioning, please note some specific requirements: * You are committed to attending all training sessions and rehearsals and making the TDS team a top priority. Currently rehearsals are Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm with Tracie and Lucky. Other rehearsals may be required in preparation for performances (advance notice will be given for additional rehearsal time.) * You must be able to travel with the team for performances (advanced notice will be given of any travel plans, valid travel documents necessary) * Physical capability and willingness to learn lifts and tricks. * Must have Amateur status (i.e., have never been paid to teach or perform) * Training fees are $75/month per person, payable on the 1st of each month. If you are chosen for the team, a minimum 6 month commitment is required (October 2012-March 2013). * Dancers who excel in the Amateur team may be granted the opportunity to advance to the TDS Semi-Pro Team in January 2012
